Indigenous Capacity

First Indigenous kit for diagnosis of
COVID-19 developed by a DBT-
BIRAC supported startup, MyLab is
being scaled up.

DBT established a commonly shared
facility to manufacture diagnostic kits
and ventilators at Andhra Pradesh
MedTech Zone (AMTZ) with an intent
to provide scale-up of production
capacity to di!erent manufacturers.

DBT-AMTZ Command consortia aims
to make 15,000 ventilators, 10 million
Covid-19 diagnostic kits, 20,000 non-
contact !ermometers, 5 Lakh N-95
Masks and 2 Lakh PPEs to achieve self-
